Christian and Ian wade through an abandoned pool with mold ghosts for this episode. For the new film review, we dig into the Thai film, THE BLUE HOUR, which is available on Netflix Instant under it's foreign title, Onthakan. For our Thrill List segment we list creative executions for our Favorite Vessels of Death. Finally, by recommendation, we revisit a recent favorite, YOU'RE NEXT. We discuss a ghost metaphor for being closeted, forget the word "mold" and share some oddly sentimental memories of the Final Destination series.

Christian and Ian find themselves in the middle of a bloody love triangle for this episode. For the new film review, we discuss a rom-com horror movie, NINA FOREVER, that isn't particularly romantic, comedic, or horrific. For the Thrill List segment, we name our Top 3 Creepiest Kids. Finally, for our Movie from the Crypt, we discuss a Criterion-approved horror classic, THE INNOCENTS.

Christian and Ian are back with a two-man show and ready for a drive down the highway to the middle of nowhere. For the new film review, we discuss the latest horror anthology film, SOUTHBOUND, which is now on VOD. For the Thrill List segment, we name our Top 3 Horror Movies for People Who Don't Like Horror Movies. Finally, our Movie from the Crypt pick is a recent favorite of one of the hosts, KILL LIST.

NOTE: we were recording this episode during the exact moments when Donald Trump was talking about the size of his penis during a Republican Debate.

Christian and Ian went out into the wood and found 2 guests to join them on this podcast. For the new film review, we finally get to discuss the New England folktale, THE WITCH, our most anticipated film of the year. For our segment we have Eric Madsen (of The Flicksation Podcast) share his earliest horror memories by telling his Horrigin Story. Finally, Eric brought a Movie from the Crypt with him, the 1988 campy anatomy doll move, PIN. During this episode we also get creeped out by the term for "fear of dolls," discuss the logistics of medical dummy sex, and ponder the effect a crop top wearing Johnny Depp can have on impressionable, young movie watchers.

Christian and Ian are back to travel back in time (to 1955 and the 1800s) and discuss horror movies. For our new film review we discuss the zombie treatment of a literary classic, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, and how successful it is at injecting genre tropes into the romance story. Inspired by that new film, our Thrill List this episode has us running down our Top 3 Bookish Horror Movies. Finally, our Movie from the Crypt is the 1955 classic, DIABOLIQUE, which was fun to discuss because we got to say a lot of French names. This episode features complaints and clarifications about the titles of movies, discussion about how weird it is to give a Bible to a child, and shared doubts about how many of the P&P&Z filmmakers are probably not real people.

Christian and Ian are back and (uncharacteristically) spoil every movie they talk about this episode. For our new film review we decide to babysit THE BOY and discuss if it fit our expectations and the surprising third act. We keep talking about endings for our Thrill List in which we list our Top 3 Twist Endings in a horror film. Finally, for our Movie from the Crypt segment, we discuss the modern classic, MARTYRS, the 2008 brutal french film. This episode features discussion of the theological implications of accepting depravity and hopelessness, why religious faith is tainted by certainty, and the E.T. ride from Universal Studios.

Christian and Ian are back with a very special episode that tries to sum up 2015 as neatly as possible. 3 lists are discussed- Top 6 Films of 2015, Top 6 New To Us Films of 2015, and Worst 6 of 2015. Three lists of 6 is why this 6th episode of the podcast is called "Episode 666." There is also discussion of the 2016 film, THE FOREST, which we try not to beat up on, partially because of our admiration of Natalie Dormer. Join us in celebrating all the dark arts had to offer us in 2015!
