For this episode, we are joined by Jericho Cerrona (The Third Act Podcast,SymbioticReviews.com) to discuss the trapped-in-a-house-while-being-hunted-by-a-blind-person movie, DON'T BREATHE. Then, we dig into Jericho's Horrigin Story to hear about his earliest horror movie memories and what his connection to the genre is today. Finally, Jericho selects HOUSE, a cult classic, horror comedy about a deadly slumber party, as our Movie from the Crypt. We also discuss bananas, geysers of blood, and buckets of.... something.

Christian and Ian return decades later to find a sleazy manager at their motel.

This special episode serves as an announcement of a new venture for the It's Only a Podcast team called Overkill. We will be going through a horror franchise front to back for the Overkill episodes. Head to our Twitter profile now (@ItsOnlyaPodcast) and cast your vote for one of the 4 franchises- Friday the 13th, Halloween, The Ring/Ringu, and Scream.

As a preview of what those episodes will be like, we discuss Anthony Perkins in the sequel, PSYCHO 2. This conversation is framed around the question: are you still in on this franchise, or at this point is it overkill? In this episode we also discuss gratuitous nudity, NYPD Blue, and (for the second episode in a row) bathrooms.

For our Thrill List segment we list (and often agree about) our Top 3 Non-Franchise Masks. Finally, the Movie from the Crypt for this episode is a recent gem from Canada, PONTYPOOL, about a radio station responding to some kind of outbreak. This time the inaugural bad film is the shameless Jurassic World rip-off, ZOOMBIES. We also discuss how people find their identity in subcultures, Bush-era imperialism, and our deep fear of all things burlap.

Christian and Ian are back to travel back in time (to 1955 and the 1800s) and discuss horror movies. For our new film review we discuss the zombie treatment of a literary classic, PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES, and how successful it is at injecting genre tropes into the romance story. Inspired by that new film, our Thrill List this episode has us running down our Top 3 Bookish Horror Movies. Finally, our Movie from the Crypt is the 1955 classic, DIABOLIQUE, which was fun to discuss because we got to say a lot of French names. This episode features complaints and clarifications about the titles of movies, discussion about how weird it is to give a Bible to a child, and shared doubts about how many of the P&P&Z filmmakers are probably not real people.

We'd love to hear your thoughts or any questions or requests you have. You can contact us at: ItsOnlyFeedback@gmail.com and on Facebook and Twitter.

Finally, for our Movie from the Crypt segment, we discuss the modern classic, MARTYRS, the 2008 brutal french film. Jan 18, 2016

Christian and Ian are back with a very special episode that tries to sum up 2015 as neatly as possible. 3 lists are discussed- Top 6 Films of 2015, Top 6 New To Us Films of 2015, and Worst 6 of 2015. Three lists of 6 is why this 6th episode of the podcast is called "Episode 666." There is also discussion of the 2016 film, THE FOREST, which we try not to beat up on, partially because of our admiration of Natalie Dormer. Join us in celebrating all the dark arts had to offer us in 2015!

We keep things chilly for our Thrill List segment as we discuss our "Top 3 Coldest Horror Movies." The cohosts also share their "Top 3 movies featuring literal cults" for the show's first ever Thrill List segment. Finally, the episode is rounded out by pulling another Movie from the Crypt. This time the unearthed gem is Dario Argento's seminal Giallo film, SUSPIRIA, and there is a discussion of aesthetics, mood vs. plot, and being trapped in a pile of razorwire.
